Sounds of My Past by Sara Siegel

The Playwrights Project offered a remote course on writing short monologues and scenes based on interviews with loved ones. My daughter Sara interviewed my dad several times about his experience in Vietnam, losing his hearing, and learning to thrive in life after Vietnam. Her monologue was one of the three selected by the Playwrights Project to be performed and recorded by professional actors. The selected submissions were posted on the City of Carlsbad’s website.
